Forge and Fight (C# | Unity)





During my time at Flamebait I was responsible for implementing UI in Unity (C#) for the game Forge and Fight. More about the game itself can be read on the official site, the Steam store page or on twitter.


Forge and fight was my first hands-on experience with an online multiplayer game and the difficulties that come along with it. I wrote most of the current UI in the game using a clever in-house system that elegantly intertwines code with UI.


Apart from building the UI, I also took care of all the little things that come into play with it. For example after I built the cosmetics and store UI from scratch, I worked together with an artist to ensure the transitions happened seamlessly through cinemachine, hooked up the backend with the frontend for all purchases and equipped the manequin with the corresponding outfit that the player had put together.
